AZHauntedHouses.com recently sat down with Michaela Nastasia of Hellbilly Holler, to discuss what's new at Hellbilly Holler for the 2021 Halloween Season!

What's new at Hellbilly Holler for 2021? Do you have any new rides, attractions, or special features that Haunt Seekers should know about?

This year we are joined by 4 canabalistic Wendigos that loom over the holler.

What are you most excited about for the 2021 Halloween Season?

Making it bigger and better than previous years.

What differentiates Hellbilly Holler from other local haunts in Arizona?

No actors, no touching, no lines, no waiting, no close contact.

How long has Hellbilly Holler been in business? Can you tell us a bit more about Hellbilly Holler's history?

Hellbilly Holler started in 2011 and has grown over the past 10 years while remaining free to the public.

What's your favorite experience since opening Hellbilly Holler?

Meeting other haunters, seeing their inspiring haunts, learning new tips and tricks for prop building.

How long is a typical haunt experience at Hellbilly Holler from start to finish?

As long as you wan it to be. It is a free display haunt with video projection. A short movie of each year's haunt is posted on our web page, youtube channel, and FB page after the season ends.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how scary would you say Hellbilly Holler is? Why?

Maybe about a 6. There are no jump scares or actors. There is no maze or dark area to walk through. It is mainly for viewing and listening. There are some gory props but that is kept to a minimum.

Does Hellbilly Holler's property have any real haunted history? Do you have a spooky encounter you'd like to share?

Lots of cats tend to congregate there and join the family.

What inspired you to open up a haunted attraction? What's your favorite part of the business?

I love the set up, lighting, and prop building. I like creating a strange and spooky immersive reality.

How has new technology (i.e. animatronics, special props, etc) helped you to enhance Hellbilly Holler?

Very much so. We now have lasers! I really like using projection too. I have started to animate my own props to augment the store bought animatronics.

Can Hellbilly Holler accommodate large groups? How many people can experience Hellbilly Holler together as a group?

As many as the street can hold. We are on a corner lot next to a school so there is plenty of parking and room to roam around.

Does Hellbilly Holler offer any special deals, discounts, or coupons?

The haunt is FREE so no discount is necessary. We do have t-shirts this year. Some will be available at the haunt itself. You can also visit our website and go to the storefront is you are interested in different sizes, colors, and styles of shirts, tanks, and sweatshirts. Lots of other merchandise is available on the web site too.

Anything else you'd like to let us know about Hellbilly Holler?

We are family owned and operated. We take into consideration disabilities and personal comfort of our visitors. We've had people who were high risk for COVID that showed up at about 2 AM to view the haunt. If there are any people who would prefer to visit the haunt in the wee hours of the morning please contact us so we can leaving the electronics all night.
