Gadsden Hotel

This was my 2nd time staying at the Gadsen. My 1st stay last year around the same time nothing out of the ordinary happened. I stayed on the 1st floor in corner room, so I figured things only happen in the basement or elsewhere.

During my 2nd stay I stayed in the "Apartment suite" room 218 on the 2nd floor all alone with my work partner.
Its a 2 bedroom suit and Its the only renovated room on the 2nd floor. The rest of the hallways are closed off and no one is allowed to without a key.

My partner stayed in the room with the door. The main room I stayed in was like a loft with no door. It was wide open to the living room and a spiral staircase in the center of the kitchen area that is blocked off.

This morning 3/11/26 @4:10 AM I was sleeping and what felt like having a pleasant dream untill I heard a beeping noise which I thought was someone trying to open a keypad or something. Eventually I heard footsteps approach from the living room. Initially I thought it was my work partner going the fridge for water or something. But the footsteps came to the side of my bed to my backside as i slept on my leftside with pillows all around me.

Suddenly I felt someone sit on the bed next to me an I thought it was really wierd like my partner was sleepwalking. Then I started to hear 100's of whispering voices come out of no where. At that point I started to panic but felt afraid to turn around and look. All of a sudden I felt the weight of someone lean over me and I heard a low long growel snarl right above my head.

At this point my heart was pounding and my head was filled with a wierd warbling pressure/vibration. I felt my body trembling uncontrollably and felt like I was in danger. I felt stuck and pinned down but I realized I needed to break free.

With all my might I pushed till I was able to jerk my shoulder up and thats when I saw a shadow fly off.

For the record I am a well seasoned traveler and stayed at many hotels, but this morning was the most insane feeling ive experienced in my adult life.

I ended up worrying that the ghost would attack my partner so I turned on my light and sat awake til 5am when I noticed the beeping finally went away.

From there I decided to rest since my alarm wasnt set to wake me up till 6:50.

Something to note as well is that I started to fall into deep sleep around 6am and had another pleasant dream unitl suddenly I felt the warbleing pressure returning and I woke up immediately. From there I sat up then suddenly and looked at the clock and it was 6:45. I heard a thud come from my partners room and then saw his light turn on under the doorway soon after.

Later when I asked what the thud was, he said for some reason his phone fell off his nightstand!

I have video recording of the beeping noise. That was the only sound I could capture with my phone as soon as I woke up.

February 2026

My grandparents made me stay in the hotel and before i even went inside, i got chills and did not want to enter. Coming into the hotel, i had no idea of its haunted past. I sat on top of the balcony overlooking the lobby on a chair next to a hallway and i was on the phone with my boyfriend when i heard scratching at the corner of the hallway right next to me. I could hear scratching and shuffling feet, but i could see no one there. While on the phone call, my boyfriend kept hearing whispers as i was talking which i could not hear( i have yet to tell him about the history of the hotel). That experience did not scare me nearly as much as the experience that I had while trying to sleep. I laid down and was almost asleep when I heard loud thumping coming from the uninhabited rooms above me. then came the laughing. i cant begin to describe the god awful laughing i heard. It was a women at first laughing right next to my ear then i heard her outside the room of my door. as soon as she stopped laughing a heard such a violent and loud laugh in my life. the more scared i was, the closer he came to the bed i was laying on. I really really dont reccomend this hotel to people with mental health disorders or sensitivities because they will take advantage of that :(
