Once part of a chain of hotels and restaurants owned and operated by the Fred Harvey Company, El Tovar Hotel opened its doors in 1905. Located right on the rim of the Grand Canyon, El Tovar provided accommodations for many famous faces, like Albert Einstein, Theodore Roosevelt and Zane Grey. The ghost of Fred Harvey himself is said to make an annual appearance near Christmas time to invite guests to the festivities and there have been many stories circulating about the mysterious grave marked with the name Pirl in the parking lot.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at El Tovar. First night I felt a presence in room. Mysterious light appeared in room not turned on or off by either one of us. Air conditioning was switch to heat by unknown, it was neither of us and we had no room service due to Covid Pandemic. I was very frightened of presence in room with us. I was afraid to open eyes but felt presence in room. Didn’t even know El Tovar was known for. After the first night I researched on google and confirmed.
